What changed at the last review

Big Rocks

The few company-level priorities leadership commits to at a time. Seven at most can be in play; everything else waits in the intake queue or lives in history.

What the terms mean

Stage (where it is in its life)

Draft: An idea written down. Needs a name, who proposed it, when, and the business reason.
Proposed: In the intake queue, waiting for the VFT to admit it.
Active: Admitted. Has an owner, a next milestone and a target date. Counts against the seven.
At Risk: Active but off track. Still counts against the seven. Needs leadership attention at the next review.
Completion Review: The owner says it is done; the VFT decides how it retires.
Complete / Archived: Finished, or stopped. Kept for history.

Status (how it is going right now)

Red: Needs leadership intervention now.
Yellow: Progressing but at risk of slipping.
Green: On milestone.
Verify: A time-boxed check to find out whether this should be a Big Rock at all.

Trend

↑ improving since last review, → same, ↓ worse.

Priority

Critical, High or Medium: how much it matters to the year, not how urgent it is this week.

Data status

Working provisional · Validated the owner checked it · Approved leadership approved it.

Actions

One piece of work, one owner, one due date, tied to a Big Rock. If it is not on this list it is not being tracked.

What the terms mean

Status

Not Started: Assigned, no work yet.
In Progress: Being worked.
Waiting: Blocked on someone outside the owner's control; say who in Next step.
Blocked: Cannot proceed; needs leadership to clear the way.
Complete: Done. Stays here for history.

Dates

Due: When the work is finished. Overdue means due has passed and it is not Complete.
Review: The VFT review where it is next discussed.

Next step

The single next thing the owner will do. Update it every time you touch the action.

Decisions

Calls only leadership can make. They sit as Pending until the VFT decides; a decided one records what was decided and the follow-up.

What the terms mean

Status

Pending: Waiting for the VFT.
Approved: Decided yes; the summary says what was decided.
Deferred: Pushed to a later review, with a new due date.
Rejected: Decided no.

Impact

High, Medium or Low: how much the business outcome depends on this call. High decisions go first on the agenda.

Due

The review by which it must be decided.

Risks

Things that could stop a Big Rock. Each one has an owner and a mitigation plan, and is reviewed at every VFT until closed.

What the terms mean

Status

Open: Identified, no mitigation under way yet.
Mitigating: The plan is being worked.
Monitoring: Mitigated for now; watch it.
Closed: No longer a risk.

Impact and likelihood

Impact is how badly it would hurt the Big Rock if it happened. Likelihood is how probable it is. High / High rises to the top.

Commitments

Everything the room has committed to, grouped by priority. Set Now / Next / Later, mark Done, or Drop what no longer matters; dropped items stay in history.

What this is

The MWS Command Center runs the VFT Operating System and the monthly Sales Leadership Meeting. The VFT side implements the Master Specification v1: seven record types (Big Rocks, Actions, Decisions, Risks, Reviews, Portfolio Decisions, Change Sets), the lifecycle, the status rules, the intake and retirement dispositions, the required views and the seven-rock capacity limit.

System of record. This application and its database are the system of record for the VFT (decision D-037, October 9, 2026). SharePoint keeps the documents: blueprints, frameworks, charters and the decision log. Field names match the Master Specification exactly, so records export to the seven SharePoint lists at any time. Every record here carries a Working / Validated / Approved data status, so nothing provisional reads as a leadership commitment. Every change is logged with who made it and when.

Lifecycle

Draft → Proposed (intake queue) → Active → At Risk ↔ Active → Completion Review → Complete → Archived. No more than seven rocks may be Active, At Risk or in Completion Review at once.

Status

Red needs leadership intervention now. Yellow is progressing but at risk. Green is on milestone. Verify is a time-bounded validation that must end in activation, redirection, merger or closure.

Meeting cadence

Before each VFT, owners update status, current state, milestones, result, decision needed and review date. During: completion candidates, incoming proposals, capacity before and after, Red rocks, pending decisions, high risks, actions due before next review, read-back. After: the Review record, one Portfolio Decision per change, master updates only for approved changes.

Sales Leadership Meeting

Monthly. Segment updates (Trade, Builder, Luxury, Commercial, Multi-Unit), GM market reviews (NorCal and Reno, SoCal, Arizona and Vegas), then open items. Commitments made in the room are tracked here until Done or Dropped. Big Rocks are not reviewed in this meeting; they belong to the VFT.
